Hi Sisters-

This month the General Relief Society Presidency has come out with a new format for our Visiting Teaching messages in the Ensign. It is really not so different, but it includes areas to study before you make your visit, as well as questions to ask the sisters that you visit teach. There is a pretty good explanation of it on lds.org under Serving in the Church, Relief Society:

Also , this month on the Mormon Channel Radio Station, which you can listen to on your computer, there is a wonderful interview, Q&A, with the General Relief Society Presidency on the Visiting Teaching message for July:

There will be message discussions every month on this Mormon Channel. The Mormon Channel can be accessed through lds.org. It has wonderful interviews and talks and church news. We have gotten in the habit of turning it on to listen to when we are working on the computer or in the kitchen (that is where our computer lives!)

I am increasingly grateful for the resources that the church provides for us to study the gospel and to feel the Spirit everyday. I think of all the sisters across the world that do not have access to anything other than their computers and the internet. Truly the gospel is being spread to every nation.

So enjoy! Remember visiting teaching is not just one more thing on your to do list. It is truly ministering after the manner of our Savior. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,ye have done it unto me" Matt. 25:40.

Love,

Sister Laurie Haslam
