Here is the recipe you've all been waiting for. Phil Haslam's BBQ Baby Back Ribs that he demonstrated at Super Saturday. They were delicious.
The Rub
¼ cup freshly ground black pepper ¼ cup paprika
1 ¼ cups white sugar 1 ¼ cups brown sugar ½ cup salt (Kosher Preferred)
-Mix dry ingredients together thoroughly
-Spread/Rub dry mixture over and into a rack of Baby Back Ribs
-Wrap ribs in heavy duty foil (recommend double wrapping)
-This step should be done anywhere from 10 minutes to 24 hours prior to cooking ribs
The Oven (The purpose of this step is to cook the ribs)
-Put foil-wrapped ribs onto a cookie sheet and into a 350 degree preheated oven
-Cook for 1 hour
-Remove ribs and drain excess liquids from foil-wrapped ribs
-Remove ribs from foil
The BBQ (The purpose of this step is to “set” the sauce)
-Put cooked ribs on BBQ, liberally slopping on your favorite sauce
-Turn ribs, reapplying your favorite sauce every turn
-Continue until desired amount of sauce “set” on ribs is achieved
-This step takes only about 10 minutes
-BBQ need not be too hot, remembering this step is not to cook ribs but to “set” the sauce.
-Serve ribs, eat ribs, lick fingers!
