Sunday lesson for February 26th, 2012

Dear Sisters,
Are any of you facing difficult, almost overpowering challenges? Are you looking for solutions to life's most perplexing problems? A prophet of God recently told us that the tools and handbook we need for these can be found in the pure truths in the scriptures. We will be studying Elder Scott's talk on "The Power of Scripture" from last October's conference. In preparation for our discussion I would encourage you to 1. read or listen to the talk 2. have family scripture study each day 3. start memorizing one scripture you love 4. be prepared to share some of your experiences with the class "Scriptures are like packets of light that illuminate our minds and give place to guidance and inspiration from on high," Elder Scott said. Let's not neglect our daily dose as we prepare for this fun class the final Sunday in February. Please be prepared to share specific ideas on things that have worked for you or your family. Please consider these thought questions:
How do you personally use the scriptures?
How do you mark your scriptures?
Can you share a moment of spiritual guidance you had from reading the scriptures?
What methods do you use to commit scriptures to memory?
I am eager for our discussion and pray that the spirit will guide you in your study and preparation.
Love, Terri
